Chandan has good chance to become team lead...!!!

Chandan has a good chance to go ahead really.

Now his package is ok for mental relaxation.If he gets master himself in Wordpress, Joomla then he can do small project with the help of 2-3 trainees in short duration.(strictly of wordpress and joomla)... So that a team of joomla + wordpress team will get developed... (this will be good in terms of revenue collection...)

Side by side he needs to think about some framework (cakephp or zend or CI or just MVC using smarty) where he will be able to develop other application. Here he will need some good programmers. Either he can select from trainees or he can take help of rajesh and mayuresh.

Chandan will head these two teams. (for first team joomla+wordpress he need to guide them only... as peoject are of short duartion 15 days - 1 months ) , while with second team with other 2 members he can work on some middle level application. ( Here he needs to do analyais and coding too. These type of project will be of long duration more than 3 months) . So chandan will handle 2 teams.

So overall chandan is going to handle 6-7 people with 2-3 different projects at a time.

But for all this first chandan need to master wordpress(10 days) and joomla (10 days) first and then any one architecture (15 days enough). And develope sample application for each one.

So I guess If chandan works on this, After one and half month.. say August 15 he will be able to handle all responsibility mentioned above.

I am sure. If the things go well in next 6 months by NOV-DEC. Chandan's price in the market will be 30K+ . The same company will give him the offer. As the new PM is co-opeartive you should take this as challenge and do hard work to achive the confidence. The current situation given you a very good chance to prove yourself... So plan and go ahead... All the best to chandan..
